Linux Web Hosting Systems Administrator
UnitedHosting currently have a vacancy for a Linux Systems Administrator for an immediate start. As this is a remote working position applicants can be located anywhere in the UK but must have access to a reliable broadband connection.
The successful applicant will have proven experience of real-world Linux administration in a web hosting environment, including in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies including:
* Strong understanding of Centos/Redhat distribution of Linux.
* Experience in managing web hosting applications (such as; Apache, PHP, Perl, MySQL, DNS, Mail, FTP etc.)
* Ability to write scripts (Bash, Perl etc.) to aid efficient server management.
* Troubleshoot/Analyse complex issues independently until resolved.
* Monitor and maintaining servers including configuration, adjustment and optimisation.
* Pro-actively assist with recommending and implementing improvements to service.
* Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills.
* As well as experience with Cpanel and Ensim gui environments it is essential you can also work in a plain command line Linux capacity.
This is a customer facing role, working with the rest of the UH team dealing directly with customer enquiries via our online helpdesk, email, live chat and telephone. You must be friendly, polite and willing to go the extra mile at all times - we only want the best!

Sales Account Manager
A new opportunity for a Sales Account Manager has been created here at UnitedHosting.
The successful applicant will have previous experience wtihin a busy sales / account management role.
* Able to quickly establish strong relationships and build on those already in place
* Confident, polite and curteous telephone manner
* Able to adapt a technical mindset, with good experience of web hosting and related services
* Have a passion for being creative with new sales ideas to compliment existing campaigns
The main purpose of this role will be to deal with internal customers, developing and maintaining strong relationships and ensuring our existing customers are being given everything they need and are happy. On top of this some of your working day will also be devoted to monitoring existing sales and marketing campaigns, as well as coming up with new sales, marketing and growth ideas.
